University of Idaho Extension Digital Economy Program (DEP) is excited to announce the placement of a Digital Navigator serving Washington and Adams counties. Based in her hometown of Cambridge, Idaho, Holli Ogle will be conducting activities to expand digital access and skills through June 2025.
This vital addition to the community is part of a larger initiative to ensure all Idahoans have the skills, tools, and access needed to thrive in today’s digital world.
Here’s how the Digital Navigator can help you:
• Development of Digital Skills: Build confidence in navigating online resources, applications, and platforms.
• Tech Help: Get assistance troubleshooting devices, setting up email accounts, and ensuring online safety.
• Business Development: Get support growing your business though in person consulting and free online courses that focus on how local small business owners can create or expand their online presence.
Through personalized one-on-one support and small group workshops, Ogle aims to empower residents with practical skills to thrive in a digitally connected world. “I am really excited to be able to bring the tech and business skills I have developed during my career as an engineer, entrepreneur, and college instructor to serve my hometown,” said Ogle.
How to Get Involved: Come to the first Drop-in Office hours at Raindrop Coffee Shop, 90 North Superior St., Cambridge, ID on March 25 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Ogle can be reached at hogle@uidaho.edu and (208) 352-2194. Local organizations are invited to collaborate by hosting events, providing space, or spreading the word. Let’s work together to make digital access and skills available to everyone in the tri-valley.
Empowering Idahoans: The DEP has already placed six Americorps Members as Digital Navigators across Idaho with financial support from the Idaho Commission for Libraries (ICfL). Digital Navigators are one strategy being implemented to support the state’s 5-year Digital Access for All Idahoans Plan prepared by the ICfL. The Plan aims to ensure Idahoans have access to information and communication technology vital for life in the 21st century.
