Claudia (Gilmore) Thomas

Claudia (Gilmore) Thomas was born on December 1, 1951 and relieved of her pain on April 15, 2024 after a brief but harrowing battle with metastatic colon cancer. Our mom was very brave on this last leg of her journey, and we knew she was trying hard to stay here for all the people she loved and who loved her. She married James Thomas in 1971 and had four children. She also finished raising her twin brother and sister; Robin and Kevin, who were teenagers when they came into her home. She chose to spend the rest of her life with her life love, Joseph Harris. She was very proud of her blended family which included Heather (Doyle), Brandy, Levi (Mindi), Trevor, Janel (Bart), Jolene (Jim), Jill (Mike), KC (Jenny). She took amazing pride in her grandchildren and loved them fiercely. Maecy, Emma, Elle, and Gunnar will forever benefit from having a grandmother so close who experienced great joy in watching them grow. She had a bounty of grandchildren she loved that weren’t as near that she was also proud of; Nichole, Brandon, Jaci, Shelby, Kanon, and Trinity.

Claudia’s greatest career accomplishment was as owner of her own real estate brokerage, Country Properties. She liked teaching others about the area she was so fond of. She loved to hunt and fish with Joe and her best days were spent catching fish on Hells Canyon with family and friends. Her love language was feeding her family and so many great days were spent at their house having dinner. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. Her wishes included no funeral services.
