Jeremy Michael Marchal

Jeremy, beloved Son, Father, Brother, and Friend, was born February 12, 1973 to Michael and Jeanne Marchal in Mountain Home, Idaho. Later that year, they moved to Beloit, Wisconsin to make their home. In 1979, Jeremy & Jeanne moved to Council, Idaho, meeting Vernon Merritt who would go on to wed Jeanne and raise Jeremy as his own. Two siblings, Tasa and Kevin soon followed, completing their family. At 18, Jeremy moved to South Beloit, Illinois where he lived with his father, Mike, for a year. He returned to Council until he Joined the Air Force. After the service he traveled around before moving back to Illinois where he met Carrie Blanchard and her daughter Jessica Camling. They wed and grew their family with the addition of a daughter, Rebecca Marchal, in 1999.

In October of 2018 Jeremy moved to Meridian, Idaho to be closer to his parents and sister.

Jeremy treasured the great outdoors where he loved to hunt and fish, ride his ATV & motorcycle, play golf, tennis and go hiking. Jeremy was very active and would find new friends wherever he went, loving to challenge anyone with a game of pool or darts. On weekends, Jeremy would hop on Xbox and game it up with his brother Kevin and kids Matthew and Alessia routinely. His sister, Tasa, introduced him to the joy of wine tasting and they spend many weekend days visiting the multiple wineries in the area, and seeking out new ones when traveling. Jeremy also enjoyed visiting the local craft breweries and seeking out new restaurants.

Jeremy was always up for an adventure and loved traveling, especially with family. A particular favorite travel destination was the Oregon Coast where many family vacations were spent throughout his life.

Jeremy is preceded in death by his father Michael Marchal, fraternal grandparents Rene & MaryJane Marchal, maternal grandparents Charles and Lillie Vipperman, and aunts Linda Kildow, Waunita Merritt, and Shari Rathman, cousin Reese Langer.

He is survived by his daughters Rebecca Marchal & Jessica Camling, South Carolina. Parents Vernon & Jeanne Merritt of Council, Idaho. Sister Tasa Merritt & Chris Jones of Boise, ID. Brother Kevin & Elisa Merritt, niece Alessia, nephews Matthew & Maverick of Sigonella, Italy. Numerous aunts & uncles, and cousins. Close friends Grady Mace, Jonathan Dickinson & Cecilia Guzman Gracida

Jeremy will be greatly missed.
