Airport Closed for Resurfacing

The Midvale airport’s resurfacing project began Wednesday, July 10. It will be closed through July 26.

Clerk Mariah Johnson reported that the park has brought in $190 this summer in camping fees. A city attorney has been recommended by AIC (Association of Idaho Counties) and will be interviewed soon. The county prosecuting attorney is obligated to prosecute all felonies in the county and has agreed to handle city misdemeanors also.

A city building inspector may be coming from the City of Weiser. He will be contacted.

A question regarding a lot on North Weiser Street was discussed. The owners want to split the 100’ wide lot into two parcels, but the city code requires setbacks, sewer, etc. and does not permit such a narrow lot.

The next regular meeting of the council will be August 12 at 7:00 p.m..
