Council Chamber Puts on Easter Egg Hunt

The Council Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual community Easter Egg hunt in Council on Saturday, April 19th. The hunt was really four separate events, as each age group was separated into a different time and location to allow parents with children in multiple age categories to attend them all. Each hunt was well attended and included thousands of Easter Eggs, some with special prices inside! There were special prize Easter baskets and 12 brand new bicycles that were donated by DiSon Construction and given as prizes in special eggs!
It takes many volunteers to put on an event like this for the community. Special thanks to all the local businesses who donated goods and money for prizes, eggs, and candy, including Huptye, Perpetua Resources, Cambridge Telephone Company, Adams County Health Center, the X Club, Wilson’s Bar, and Council EMS. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to organize the event and hide eggs, especially the Lions Club who always comes and does a great job! Thank you to Dr. Bruce Gardner with Heartland Animal Hospital for his appearance as the Easter Bunny, and Ryan Baldwin for all her help collecting donations and putting everything together. Thank you to Katie and David Church for everything they do to get things set up and put together, and to the whole Council Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring the event and all the work they do for the community.
Happy Easter to Everyone!
