Easter Bunny Visits Council Library

On Saturday, April 12, there was a special Easter story time at the Council Valley Free Library. The story time was well attended, drawing over 42 people to the library, according to Librarian Milise Blanton. In addition to reading Easter books, the children participated in decorating little spring wreaths and wooden Easter eggs, danced and sang songs, and had snacks. The biggest draw, however, was the Easter Bunny, who made a special appearance!. Friends of the Library member, Rorrie Blanton, was there to take free pictures of children and families with the Easter Bunny and printed them out on the spot! Council residents Danielle and JJ Perino helped to organize and run the story time, and did a wonderful job on all the decorations and activities.
There will be another special Mother’s Day themed story time on Saturday May 10th and 10:00 a.m. at the library. This Saturday, April 19th, the Council Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the annual Egg Hunt for the town youth. Be sure not to miss any of these fun community events!
