Around forty volunteers of all ages gathered at the Historic P. & I.N. Depot to stuff plastic eggs with candy for the upcoming New Meadows Easter Egg hunt this past Saturday, April 11. The City provided coffee and brunch fixings. Candy was provided by local community donations and a Meadows Valley School class competition to bring in the most wrapped candy. The candy from each class from preschool to 5th grade will go toward that grade’s hunt area at the city Easter Egg Hunt next Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the school.
Parks & Rec Committee member and preschool teacher Angie Mettie took time to count the candy brought in from each class. Congratulations to First Grade on their win!
