Fosdick Gets Ready to GIVE

The Fosdick is gearing up for their 41st year of raising money to support Meadows Valley organizations, non-profits and college or technical students of all ages. The annual Benefit Dinner and Auction takes place Saturday, August 1 starting at 5:00 p.m. The Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, August 2 and registration is closing Friday, July 24.
Each year The Fosdick hosts these community events to raise money for local organizations. The money raised over the first weekend in August determines how much they can give the approved organizations and scholarship applicants at the awards dinner in the Fall. You can participate in helping these local gems thrive in a variety of ways including signing up for the golf tournament, donating money directly, donating auction items by July 24, attending the dinner, participating in the auction, purchasing raffle tickets, sponsoring a hole or volunteering to help at the events.
The 13 organizations approved for donations this year are:
M.V. Community Foundation for Mehen Memorial Skatepark
Adams County Historical Society
Scholarships for M.V. School graduates and adult residents
M.V. Cemetery
New Meadows Youth Center
M.V. Coalition, Planet Youth, YAC
Ignite Idaho Family Resource Center
M.V. Community Center
M.V. Community Club 4-H
Meadows Valley Public Library
M.V. School District for art and music classes, P.T.O. Spring Carnival and tennis courts
New Meadows Farmers’ Market
Payette Lakes Ski Club for the After School Ski Program
Through generous community contributions, The Fosdick has donated over $898,000 to Meadows Valley organizations and individuals over the last 41 years. This year will be no different with your support. The dinner and auction are held at The Intersection B.B.Q. in New Meadows. Arrive starting at 5:00 p.m. for dinner and raffle tickets and to peruse the silent auction items. The evening events move quickly with the delicious meal, live auction, chicken Bingo, potluck dessert and annual traditions that surprise and delight. Sunday morning’s golf tournament kicks off at 8:00 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast. The driving range opens at the same time for those raring to get started. After the tournament, stick around for no-host buffet lunch at awards.
