Families enjoying the free fishing day at the Council fishing pond.

We were through getting organized about 8:00 a.m., and then the fishers came at 9:00 a.m. and stayed until 11:30 a.m. - it was getting really hot. Everyone had fun!

The kids appreciated being loaned the poles and given tackle - you can see some went over on the west side of the pond away from the deck and knee deep in water! Everyone appreciated M & W’s free water bottles to drink and took home fishes!!

The worms I brought were huge and had to be cut into 1/3’s to put on the small hooks, and several also enjoyed using the “PowerBait” in the jars - taken out by fingertip - wasn’t like a wiggly worm!

The Fish & Game rep said we had a very good, impressive turnout and he was a great instructor & enjoyed helping everyone.
