Garden Stores Spring Up

Exeter Lane Gardens at 1924 South Exeter in Council held a soft opening for the gardening season over the weekend, which was well attended. With the warmer than average spring locally and the looming threat of supply chain disruptions globally, many are already busy with their summer gardening plans, and Exeter Lane Gardens was there to help them get going. They have expanded the operation this year to include more fertilizer and gardening supplies. The garden center will open again on Friday, May 1 and start being open seven days a week for the season, but the grand opening is planned for Mother’s Day weekend when the annuals and hanging baskets will be ready.
While you’re on Exeter Lane be sure to also check out Council Mountain Farms at 1941 S. Exeter for trees and other garden supplies.
Also planned for May 8 is Council FFA’s annual plant sale! It will be a good weekend to support local producers and gather all of the plants and supplies needed for the upcoming season!
