Over 300 happy Americans showed up at Midvale Pool’s annual Fourth of July celebration. After all the meal tickets were counted, and the gun raffle tickets were added, along with the duck raffle tickets and numerous donations, the Pool committee is happy to report a grand total income of $9,400.49.

They said, “We are beyond grateful! Thank you to everyone who supported the Midvale Swimming Pool. This beloved gem in our small town wouldn’t be open for the kids in our community without your generosity. It also wouldn’t even exist without the incredible dedication of the Midvale Pool Board. Every board member volunteers countless hours throughout the year, and we’d love to give each of them the recognition they deserve.” They are President Brian Steed, Vice President Chelsey Doggett, Secretary Laci Steed, Treasurer Karly Jakich, pool Manager Jessica Mikek, Assistant Manager Christy Graham, Devon Langer and Jake Mikek.

The swimming pool needs resurfacing which may cost $50,000. The last time it was done was in the 1980s when the pool was expanded. The maintenance is necessary to keep the pool open for all to enjoy. The pool is a 501(3)c nonprofit organization for anyone who would like to donate. Address is Midvale Swimming Pool, PO Box 4, Midvale ID 83645.
