Katie Ward, with Council Floral and Garden Center, and her dog, Rip, donated three days of their time to work with the Council FFA Floriculture team prior to the Floriculture Career Development Event (CDE) on March 6th. On the first day she taught the students how to craft center pieces. On the second day they made corsages. The final day Katie set up a mock competition in the back of her store. The flowers for these projects were donated from Washington Floral, a floral shop out of Boise. Her help was extremely valuable to the students’ success at the Floriculture CDE. Look for the detailed story from the competition next week. All center pieces and corsages were then handed out to seniors in the Council community.
