Markley Withdraws from Clerk Race

According to voteidaho.gov, Keith Markley has withdrawn from the Republican primary for the Adams county clerk’s race. Sherry Ward currently holds the office and is retiring at the end of her term in December. Tara Dahl and Tara Horton are the two remaining candidates for the clerk’s office from the Republican party. The election will be held May 19.
No Democratic candidates declared for that party’s primary.
When emailed for comment regarding why he has withdrawn, Markley stated that it was for personal reasons.
