The library’s regular hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m..

The Library is a Designated Cooling Site so if you are too warm this summer, stop by during our regular hours and cool off!

Summer Reading Programs – The 2024 Summer Reading Program is in full swing, but kids can still sign-up any time before July 24th! Come by the library to sign-up and get your free sign-up bag! The theme this year is: Adventure Begins @ Your Library! Summer reading helps kids keep their brains active and they enter school in the fall ready to learn and ready to succeed.

Upcoming Program Dates/Themes:

July 24th: Exploring Adventures

July 31st: Water Games Party @ City Park — this program is 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. – this party is only open to REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS – no exceptions. If your child would like to attend, they must be signed up for Summer Reading.

There are fun daily & weekly games and random prize drawings throughout the program!

How the program works: Kids of all ages & abilities can participate. Kids may register anytime during the program but must be registered before earning prizes. The first 100 to register will receive a free goody bag. Prize tickets are earned by checking out & reading books, completing mini book reviews, and attending programs. There will be 7 free weekly Story Time programs, during which we read, create crafts, or play games & have a treat. Registered participants will be invited to the 8th program, which is a celebration party held at the city park!

Sponsor A Summer Reader - Last summer, 108 children, ages 0 to 14, participated in our summer reading program. Of course, providing this kind of quality program costs money, but participants and their families are never charged a fee for any part of the program and all children are welcome and encouraged to participate. You can help the library present such a valuable program by sponsoring one or more of our Summer Readers! Each sponsorship is just $10 and provides a summer reader with all the fun the program has to offer! If you would like to be a Sponsor, please send donations to: Meadows Valley Public Library, P.O. Box 436, New Meadows, ID 83654, or you can drop your donation at the library. Your donation may be tax deductible. Thanks for your help!

Adults and young adults can participate in Summer Reading at the Meadows Valley Public Library, too! Registered readers ages 16 & up can enter our drawing for a prize package which includes: $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card, a MV Library Coffee Mug, a Book Tote and more! Readers will get one entry for each book they read & review (including digital & audio books). The book review form is quick & simple to complete! One winner will be chosen by random drawing at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31st! You do not need to be present to win and the winner will be notified to pick up their prizes at the library.
