Eighteen kids gathered at the Meadows Valley Library for a Safari themed storytime this past Wednesday, February 11. “Safari guide” and volunteer Marlene Clark shared some items the safari goers should have on hand including binoculars and a camera. Clark read Way Far Away on a Wild Safari by Jan Peck and Safari, So Good! All About African Wildlife a Cat in the Hat book. The curious children had some questions along the way about the various creatures featured in the books. After stories, library director Audrey Crogh, aided by Kayrene Brown and Stacy Loper, showed attendees how to make animal puppets and provided a snack of animal crackers. March 11’s storytime theme is Leprechauns. Storytime is held the second Wednesday of each month from 4-4:45 p.m..

If you’re looking for a more advanced reading discussion, book club meets at the library the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The group will be discussing Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy on March 4.

For other upcoming library events stop in during their regular hours Monday - Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., visit their website https://meadowsvalley.lili.org/ or give them a call at (208) 347-3147.
