Midvale Airport Open All Winter
At the regular meeting of the Midvale City Council Monday evening it was reported that the airport did not close this winter. There has been plane and helicopter activity since the weather has been so dry and mild.
Mayor Brian Graham requested that work begin on the pump house controls since the irrigation season will probably begin sooner than before.
A proclamation was read named “Just Serve” which is a national and global organization which recognizes volunteerism in communities. No action was taken by the council.
Reports have been made concerning gun fire on South School Road at the bulk plant for several weekends. The sheriff was called and this past weekend all was quiet. Brian mentioned that there are two “colorful” characters taking care of the place.
Visiting the meeting was new resident Zac Matthews who has just moved to town. He stated that he is a civil engineer and was there to meet people.
The next meeting of the council will be March 9 at 7 pm.
