Mountaineers’ Ruth Takes 4th at State for 2A Pole Vault

The Meadows Valley Mountaineers lined the halls this past Thursday, May 16th in an excited send off for sophomore pole vaulter Natalie Ruth. Students cheered and waved posters wishing Ruth luck as she headed to the Idaho State Track & Field competition.

Ruth began her vault attempts at a height of 8 feet sailing above. She continued for attempts at 8’6”, 9’, and 9’6”, successfully vaulting up to her current PR of 9’. Ruth placed 4th in the overall 2A state competition out of sixteen competitors. Congratulations!
