New Meadows Youth Center Progress

A Daycare Advisory Council has been meeting often to get the new Childcare/Preschool/Youth Center under way. The Daycare/Preschool/After School Programs will be located at the old recycle building in New Meadows which will be remodeled to create this needed facility. The grant received for this project has to be used within a year. The finished building is projected to be completed in March of 2025. The preschool will be the first phase, becoming operative by October 2024. Builders are ready and waiting for permits to be issued. Dirt work should start next week.

At the last Advisory meeting, many details were decided on; ground covering and fencing for the outdoor play area, types of door locks, flooring and lighting. There will be a site visit before the next meeting on August 12th. Ground breaking will be soon!
