Resolution Approved for LHTAC Grant Application
The New Meadows City Council met Monday, January 6, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. to approve Resolution 308-2025 for construction of the Heigho and Peterson Memorial Avenue Roadway Improvements Project. The resolution approves signing the project application for a Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) grant in the amount of $1.8 million along with a required % match from the City of New Meadows in the amount of $132,120 as well as submitting the application to LHTAC for prioritization.
City Clerk Kyla Gardner and Council Member Josh Carr attended the meeting in person with Mayor Julie Good leading and introducing the resolution via call. Council members Traci Foster and Jeff Parnett also called into the meeting. The resolution was given a full reading and quick consideration by the council before Carr made a motion to approve which was seconded by Parnett. A vote was taken and the resolution was approved unanimously by the quorum of council members.
The City Council has discussed this project at length at prior meetings and the new Roads and Streets Committee has also discussed and sent recommendations to the Council. The meeting was then adjourned.
