Weekly Midvale Farmers Market Starts in Perfect Weather

Every Wednesday evening, beginning at 5:00 p.m., shoppers will find a variety of offerings at the summer Midvale Farmers Market held in the park. The plan is to continue every week until fall. Vendors stay open until the crowds stop coming.
This past week vendors set their tables up in the shade across from the swimming pool and near the playground. Gardeners could find plenty of tomato and pepper plants grown by Aerial Bruce in her high tunnel. She grows carrots right in the ground in it. Aerial calls her business Pocket Sand Farms.
Driving up from Payette just for the market were Jane Troyer and her three daughters. She said they are hoping to move to Indian Valley in the future and are wanting to meet some of the people in the Upper Country. Besides a table full of baked goodies, they were selling several varieties of coffee from one of their friends in Columbia where they previously lived.
A very unique dried fruit mix was back thanks to Joy Evans, from Midvale. Helping her was Mandy Briscoe. They also had fresh herbs and homemade marshmallows to offer.
Organizers are expecting at least three more vendors next week, with a call for any crafters, young people, or whoever would like to come set up a table. To stay current on the market and to send messages, check out on Facebook at Midvale Farmers Market.
