The O.H. Honey Beestro opened its doors May 30 last year just prior to Hells Canyon Days and since then people all over have enjoyed coming together in this cozy little small town eatery. Owners, Orrin and Hannah Kindall recently made a few changes to provide customers with more options. They include monthly activities that offer a place for families to gather together while enjoying some of their amazing homemade food and beverages.

For breakfast they cook up some old fashioned biscuits and gravy on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. There are breakfast sandwiches made with large homemade bagels, fruit turnovers and cinnamon rolls and fun snacks like cookies and lemon bars.

The lunch menu includes delicious thick sandwiches made with your choice of breads, a Rosemary Swiss, Italian Parmesan or Jalapeno Cheddar rolls with a variety of meats and cheeses. They also offer wraps, garlic knots and delicious homemade soups. Some of the soups include, but are not limited to, Tomato Basil, Shrimp Corn Chowder, Vegetable, Minestrone, and Clam Chowder every Friday. The menu varies slightly from week to week in order to offer weekly specials.

The Beestro offers an endless combination of coffee drinks, tea, hot chocolate, Italian sodas and any flavor Lotus drink (a plant based energy alternative.) They also make kid friendly options as well including things like toasted marshmallow steamers and fruit drinks. They offer something for everyone.

One of the activities, is Bingo once a month on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m., sponsored by the Treasure Valley Co op. There are painting classes planned and guest artists such as Cassidy Rose and her jewelry business as well as many other ideas to help bring families together and build strong relationships. Watch their face book page for more information on upcoming activities.

And then there’s the honey! Sold on tap in both large and small quantities. Rich, dark pure raw honey from Orrin’s family apiary. Did you know there are lots of different types and flavors of honey? They also sell beeswax by the pound for making soaps and Hannah carries a line of organic oils called Essential Almond Naturals. They also offer several gift items and home décor featuring the “Bee” theme. O.H. Honey is open from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the winter and from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the spring and summer.

Both Orrin and Hannah would like to thank everyone for their support this first year in business and they invite folks to stop in for a chance to experience their hospitality and great food.
