Wild Thistle Mercantile Opens

A new shop opened in Council on May 22. Wild Thistle Mercantile held a ‘soft open’ this past weekend at 120 Illinois. The store will hold a Grand Opening on the 4th of July. Their hours are currently Friday and Saturday 10-5 and they sell variety of clothing  and other items.

Kassidy Winter, Lee Ann Evans and Andria Hall partnered to open the store and said they’re just hoping to be part of the community.

The store is decorated with reclaimed materials from around town - tin lines the walls from the old Leader building and part of the wood countertop came from the high school’s old bleachers. There are some stools from the Long Branch Saloon as well.
