First graders stand next to the science projects ready to answer questions.

The 2024 First Grade Science Fair is now in the books. This year the first grade students were challenged to participate in a Science project choosing a topic that is relevant to first grade Science objectives. Each child went home and either did an experiment or collected data about their topic. They sent a home-video to school which showed them doing their experiment or collecting data.

The air was buzzing with excitement while watching the wonders of Science unfold before our eyes. After that, each student made a presentation to the class about their topic, complete with their presentation board or shoebox. We learned about subjects ranging from Introduction to Light to Communication over Distances. We wrapped up the unit with a Science Fair in which each student displayed their project about their topic. We invited parents, grandparents and friends to come and browse our Science Fair.

Overall, it was very educational and enjoyable.
