April 8, 2026

Did any of you have any good April Fools jokes played on you? Some people are so creative in making up stories or situations that could be true, but aren’t. If you have any that are particularly funny, send them along, I would love to see them.

Our Tai Chi classes started on April 1st. We had a full house on both Wednesday and Friday. It’s not too late if you want to join us, just be at the back of the senior center wearing comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. We will hold classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:00 a.m. The classes are approximately 20 to 25 minutes long. They are suitable for both men and women. Tai Chi is good for both the body and mind.

We also started at Raffle for a $60 gift certificate to the Country Coffee Cabin. Tickets are $2. each or 3 for $5. The raffle will end on Wednesday, April 29th. A drawing will be held after lunch that day to pick the winner. The winner will be notified if they aren’t in attendance.

Our Food Pantry in April will be on Wednesday, 15th from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Our monthly shopping trip to Ontario, will take place on Thursday, April 16th. There is a sign up sheet on the front table for those wishing to go.

April’s foot clinic will be held on Monday April 27, starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending around 11:00 a.m. Appointments are needed. You can call (208) 257-3358 to reserve your time or if you need more information.

It’s time for Menus: Friday April 10th: Nudo’s Mexican Fiesta Casserole, Refried Beans, Green Salad, Pears, Corn Chips, and Peach Crisp. Wednesday, April 15th: Chicken Broccoli Bake, Tossed Green Salad, Wheat Roll, Apricots, and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Friday, April 17th: Combination, Hawaiian, Chicken Alfredo, Cheese or Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza. Garden Salad, Apricots and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Happy Easter! Enjoy the rest of your week, everyone!
