The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred at 05:51 a.m., on Friday, June 27, 2025, in the New Meadows area.
Adams County Dispatch received a report of a burglary in New Meadows that had been accomplished by an individual who lit a residence on fire, brandished a gun, struck a resident in the head, and fled in a stolen Porsche Cayenne. Approximately an hour later, Sheriff’s Office personnel found a vehicle and a man matching the reported descriptions still in the New Meadows area. Christopher Katsikaris 46, of Meridian, was taken into custody and transported to the Adams County Jail.
Katsikaris was charged with:
COUNT I - Arson in the First Degree, a Felony, I.C. § 18-802
COUNT II - Burglary, a Felony, I.C. § 18-1401
COUNT III - Aggravated Assault, a Felony, I.C. § 18-901(b), and 18-905(a)
COUNT IV - Grand Theft, a Felony, I.C. § 18-2403(1), 2407(1)(b)
COUNT V - Providing False Information to Law Enforcement, a Misdemeanor, I.C. § 18-5413(2)
