The weather has been so nice lately, honestly, about as perfect as it gets here in Cambridge, ID. Not too hot, not too cold, just right!. I wish it could last all summer long. Unfortunately, that is just what it is, wishful thinking. I’ve heard that it’s going to be really hot, like heat dome hot this year. You remember a few years ago, when we had that kind of summer, people’s gardens wouldn’t even grow well because it was so hot! I hope not, but that is my prediction for this year.
Our Silent Auction is up and running and will continue through our Hells Canyon Days All-You-Can-Eat Taco Feed on June 5th. New items are coming in every day, so check in frequently. If you have something you would like to donate to the center and it’s in really good condition, please let me know. If you have questions, please call me at (208) 257-3358. We have another Split the Pot going as well. Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. The drawing will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Taco Feed on June 5th!
Proceeds from these fundraisers will be put toward our matching funds requirement ($5,000) for the Block Grant we just received. We would greatly appreciate any and all support we receive. Our next board meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, at 1:15 p.m. The next Food Pantry is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Our next foot clinic is on Monday, May 25.
