By the time you read this in the newspaper, our fundraisers in November will be over. Both were successful, and I would personally like to thank everyone who donated Soups and Breads for our Souper Supper. They were delicious. Many thanks to Moriah Yoder, Dana Munden, Ursula Fortin, Lynda Yoder, Joyce Wemmer, Russ Mattox, Donna Talbot, and Sanda Nudo for the soups and breads. And last but not least, thank you to all who stayed to help with the cleanup.
The lucky winner of our Split the Pot fundraiser was our very own Ursula Fortin! She and the senior center split $200. Thanks to all who participated.
It was decided at our last Board Meeting that we need to clean out all the books and CDs from our little lending library. If you would like to take some of them home with you, feel free to take them. We will receive newer titles to replace the ones we currently have. Monday, November 24, is the date of our foot clinic. Your next chance to play Bingo will be on Thursday, December 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome to play.
Tuesday, November 25th, is the date of our Thanksgiving dinner. And that is the last activity of the month. The Center will be closed for the rest of the week.
On Saturday, December 6th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., we are hosting our Annual Cookie and Candy Extravaganza. We need volunteers to bake or make candies for our sale. If you’re interested and can help out, please call me at 208-257-3358. It seems like short notice, but it feels like only yesterday that it was the beginning of November. This year is moving way too fast!
Menu: Friday, November 21st: Pizza! Combination, Hawaiian, Chicken Alfredo, or pepperoni and cheese. Salad, Mixed Fruit, No-Bake Cookies. TUESDAY, November 25th: Thanksgiving dinner at the center.
