This world is upside down. For us, it is heartbreaking to see how people are treating each other and hurting and killing each other. Last week’s letter was the “good”. How God is good and is faithful and how He is true to His Word, the Bible. This week, the bad. Revelation 3:16 says, “But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” God’s word is true and stands forever. If man chooses to be bad, to do evil, there will be a consequence to that.
Through the Bible, there are warnings for us. God does not make us do bad things and sin. We make that choice. But because God is true and is faithful to His Word, He will do what He says He will. 1 Peter 4:17-18 says, “For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God’s household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News? And also, “If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners?”” God’s divine judgment will come in a terrible outpouring of wrath upon those choosing to refuse the Good News.
We all have choices each day. We can follow the path of the Good News or the path of destruction. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, now is the time to ask Him into your heart before it is too late. If you have a loved one that isn’t on the path of the Good News, it’s time to talk to them about the Good News before the time is too late.
