Menu: Friday, May 1st: Turkey and Dumping Casserole, Mixed Peas and Carrots, Green Salad, Mandarin Oranges, and Oatmeal Cake. Wednesday, May 6th: Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Broccoli/Cauliflower Vegetables, and Cherry Cheese Cake. Friday, May 8th: Chipped Beef on Toast, Texas Toast, Roasted Vegetables, Peaches, and Cherry Cheese cake.
I received some news today regarding our Block Grant. I don’t want to jinx myself, but we passed the first hurdle, and we were recommended for the full grant amount. Now our grant application heads to the Governor’s Office. It looks very promising! I should know for sure in the next week or so. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and wish for smooth sailing to the finish line!
Our Fit and Fall Proof class starts at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28th, and on Thursday of each week. Heidi Hoskins and Jodi Reeder, the women leading the class, are excited to offer it to our community. It’s free and open to everyone.
On May 4th, we start a new split-the-pot fundraiser. It will run through June 5th, the date of our Hells Canyon Days Taco Feed!
On Thursday, May 7th, we are once again playing BINGO from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Refreshments are provided, and it’s open to everyone, kids included, as long as they come with their parents.
