Last week, we took a short vacation and it was fun. However, part way through vacation, I was ready to go home. And when we did get home, it was a great feeling!
But I also know that this earthly home isn’t my true home and I am also waiting and longing to go truly home, to my heavenly home!
John 14:1-4 NLT says, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going.” Jesus said I go to prepare a place, a room, a home for you. Then when everything is ready, He says He will come and get us and take us home. This home is perfect in every way because it is God made, not man made. Created by God for you! There will be no more pain or sorrows, no more sickness or death. There will be great joy and peace and God’s amazing love everywhere! His Glory will shine and there will be no darkness.
But, there is a catch. He will not let a stranger into His home. You must know Him and have a relationship with Him. Are you ready to go HOME?
