On May 16, 1776 the Second Continental Congress issued a proclamation setting aside May 17, 1776 as a day of “humiliation, fasting, and prayer” before they declared independence from Great Britain. On May 17, 2026, Rededicate 250: A National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise & Thanksgiving happened on the National Mall. It was so great to see people coming together on the National Mall and praise God, to see our Commander in Chief, reading from the Holy Bible, 2 Chronicles 7:14, “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked way, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
Then in Florida, we have 2500 people baptized in the ocean. What a great week, seeing God working in the hearts of men.
But God’s word tells us that things will get worse in the end days, so I am praying that the church, that’s you and me, will be the light in our families, for our friends, for our community, and for the world, now. That we are ready and willing to plant seeds, now. To take a stand against evil and sin, now. We are running out of time. Matthew 24:39 says, “People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.”
