I do apologize for not getting the article written for the past several weeks. I have been trying to learn Quick Books Online, and my old inflexible brain is giving me fits over it. Change is something I’m not so good at!
Saturday the 13th we hosted the Weiser River Trail June bicycle riders for lunch. They are such a great group of folks, and we always enjoy having them come by for lunch. The next ride will be in October.
We currently have 2 raffles going on. We started a 50/50 raffle, $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5. That drawing will be on July 4th at 2:00 p.m. Then we had a quilt donated by Jo Ubina Smith and those tickets are the same ($1 per ticket or 6 for $5). That drawing will be held July 31st. Thank you Jo for your generous donation! We have the quilt displayed at the Center.
We are currently looking for a cook. The position is part time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (23 hours per week). If interested, please stop by or call for a job description.
We serve lunch at 12 noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. For Take-Out Meals, please call in your order by 10:00 a.m. and pick up is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you are ordering multiple meals, please try and call in the day before. The June Menu can be picked up at the Center.
The menu for the coming week: Friday June 19 (Father’s Day): Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy, Corn, Roll, Green Salad, Fruit, and Dessert. Tuesday June 23: Sloppy Jo Sandwich, Curley Fries, Mixed Vegetables, Green Salad, Fruit, and Dessert. Wednesday June 24th: Oven Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes w/Gravy, Green Beans, Roll, Green Salad, Fruit, and Dessert.
Our next Bingo will be on June 19th. The Blackout pot is $110 and Jared will be calling 56 numbers. Unless something comes up, we have bingo on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. For new players, folks start showing up around 6:30 p.m. or after and Jared starts calling at 7:00 p.m. It costs a quarter per card, and you can play as many cards as you want. The last game is the blackout game and it costs $1.00 per card. Please call me at the Center (208) 253-4282) if you have any questions. Thank you to all who come out and support us.
