The recipient of the 2025 John Evans Award is Mayor Julie Good of the City of New Meadows. The award was presented at the June 19 awards banquet during the 78th AIC Annual Conference in Boise, June 18-20, 2025.

With over 30 years of experience, Julie currently serves on the West Central Mountains Economic Development Council, is treasurer of the New Meadows Public Library, and volunteers on several local boards, development, and arts initiatives.

Mayor Good launched the weekly Meadows Valley Monday newsletter and helped implement a city text alert system to improve communication. She has championed community events like the New Meadow’s Farmer’s Market, Trunk or Treat, Light Up the Night, and the Community Sack Lunch Program. As Mayor, she facilitated the partnership with regional transit to expand public transportation access from New Meadows to McCall five days a week and helped organize emergency shuttles during the recent Hwy 95 closure.

Mayor Good’s outstanding service to the City of New Meadows make her a most deserving recipient of the 2025 John Evans Award.

The John Evans Award is given annually to a city official who demonstrates exemplary performance in city government and who has contributed to the accomplishments of the Association of Idaho Cities. The award is named for John Evans, Mayor of Garden City, AIC Past President and Legislative Chair.
