Monday night’s “Public Meeting” for our proposed Block Grant went well. Now we wait for the results. It will be at least 6 weeks before we know anything.
I’ve decided to take a few days off this coming week, Friday, March 13th, Tuesday, March 17th, and Wednesday, March 18th. I won’t be in the center on those days, but I will still be around should any problems arise. If you need to reach me, please call (208) 550-1632.
I will be attending our Pie Sale on Saturday, March 14, from 3:14 to 6:14 p.m. Our order forms are starting to come in for Whole pies. Whole Pies are $15 each. Or, if you prefer, you can come in and buy a slice of pie for $ 3.14. We will have coffee available for those who like coffee with their sweets. I hope to see you there!
On Wednesday, March 18th, we are having our monthly Food Pantry, and on Thursday, March 19th, we are traveling to Ontario for some serious shopping. I have a sign-up sheet on the front table. Right now, only one person is signed up to go. So there is plenty of space available. We need at least 3 seniors to attend. If we don’t have 3, the trip will be canceled. I will let you know closer to the date whether it will be a go.
Next week, on Monday, March 23rd, we have our foot clinic. There are a few appointments available. If you are interested, please call me at the center at 208+257-3358. Please leave a message if no one is available to take your call.
Time to tell you “what’s for dinner” next week. Wednesday, March 11th: Chicken Fried Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Beets, Salad, Mixed Fruit, and Fresh Apple Cake. Friday, March 13th: Costco, “All Beef 1/4 lb. Hot Dogs. Hoagie bun, Sauerkraut, French Fries, Salad, Baked Beans, Mixed Fruit, and Dessert.
