What do you want Cambridge to look like in the future? More local business support? Better parks? Improved roads? The City of Cambridge is officially updating its Comprehensive Plan, a vital blueprint that guides growth, zoning, and community investments for the next decade.

By Idaho law, cities must review and/or update this foundational document every 10 years. Because this plan directly impacts future funding and local development, city leaders are calling on every resident, business owner, and property holder within the 83610 zip code to share their vision.

To help make this update a success, the City of Cambridge recently secured a $25,000 grant from the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health. As part of this funding, the Foundation requested that the city integrate a comprehensive health focus directly into the plan’s long-term framework.

This valuable partnership has encouraged city leaders to take a holistic approach, looking closely at how community health and well-being impact every single topic discussed—from housing and transportation to economic opportunities and public spaces.

Gathering widespread community input has become the absolute top focus of this entire planning process. To build a future that reflects the real needs of our residents, every local voice must be represented in the data. Whether you have lived in Cambridge for generations or recently moved to the area, your unique perspective is essential to maintaining our town’s rural character while planning for smart, sustainable growth.

The City of Cambridge Comprehensive Plan Survey is quick, straightforward, and completely anonymous. It covers vital topics including housing, economic development, recreation, and public services.
