We have been super busy today. Our Valentine’s Day lunch was Chicken Enchilada Casserole, so we had a good lunch crowd, and afterward, we held our Valentine’s bake sale. It was a very productive day!
Needless to say, I’m tired and ready to leave for the long weekend, but I needed to write my column, so this will be short. After last week’s column, I’m sure your eyes could use a break.
Thank you all for sending in your letters of support. If you haven’t already, I’m still collecting them, and we will have them at the Public Meeting on March 4th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. If you would like to attend the meeting to support us, that would be great.
Our monthly food pantry will be on Wednesday, February 18th, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our monthly foot clinic will be on Monday, February 23rd. Appointments are needed. The number to call for a reservation is (202) 257-3358.
Menu: Wednesday, February 18th: Swedish Meatballs, Rice, Peas, Apricots, Wheat Roll, Green Salad, and Banana Bars. Friday, February 20th: chicken Alfredo, Combination, Hawaiian, or Pepperoni and Sausage Pizza. Green Salad, Apricots, and Dessert. Wednesday, February 25th: Oven Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Gravy, Coleslaw, Mixed Fruit, Wheat Roll, Corn, and Oatmeal Cake. Have a great week, everyone!
