Thank you to the Adams County Health Care Foundation board for awarding the Indian Valley Fire & Rescue Squad, an auxiliary of the Indian Valley Fire Department, a grant that purchased a commercial ice machine to make and maintain enough ice to meet the needs of local firefighters engaged in fire suppression without having to rely on commercial sources during emergency operations. The grant funding also purchased a chest freezer to store bagged ice, a refrigerator/freezer to store food and beverages to be delivered to firefighters and coolers to aid in the delivery of these items.
