I love living here in this valley. Being able to look in all directions and seeing the mountains all around us. God created something beautiful here.
But sometimes the mountains can be steep and hard to climb. So what is the mountain in your life? Loneliness, loss of a job, disease, a relationship gone bad? At times in our lives a mountain blocks our pathway. We start to climb it, only to fall back down over and over. We try to go around the mountain, but it still doesn’t move the mountain that seems to hold you captive and seems to be impossible to conquer. We try and try in our own strength and abilities and we keep falling. But if we look to God and His word in Matthew 17:20 NLT it says, “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”
If you are facing problems that seems as big and immovable as a mountain, turn your eyes from that and look to Jesus, going to Him first for help instead of last. Jesus can give you the faith to believe in Him and not what cannot be done, but what will be done. He can overcome the obstacles that stand in your way. Pray, In the name of Jesus, I speak to my mountain, be removed. I don’t need this mountain in my life anymore. Thank you God!
