Carol Ann Jaeger

Carol Ann Jaeger, born on March 11, 1938, in San Diego, California, to Harold and Mona Frederick, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 1, 2026.

She is survived by her loving daughter Susan Harper (Dave), sons Ron Jaeger (Kris) and Fred Jaeger (Sheila), and daughter Jennifer Besel (Steve). Carol was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and a cherished great grandmother to twenty-four great grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Mona Frederick, her husband Jerry Jaeger, son Frank Jaeger, and granddaughter Christianna.

At the age of seven, Carol and her parents moved from San Diego to Grant’s Pass, Oregon. After completing high school, she attended business school at Portland State University. Carol met her husband, Jerry, on a Baptist youth backpacking trip, and they married in the fall of 1960. They made their first home in Moscow, Idaho, while Jerry finished his degree in Dairy Science, before moving back to Cambridge, where they raised their family and developed one of the largest dairies in the Valley.

Carol had a passion for life that was reflected through her many hobbies, including crafting, canning, sewing, reading, and cooking. In her later years, she enjoyed listening to over one thousand audiobooks (Through the Idaho Talking Book Library). Additionally, she was an active member of Gideon’s International Auxiliary, Answers in Genesis, and an active member at Cambridge Bible Church. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Payette Healthcare of Cascadia for their compassionate care.

A memorial service will be held on April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cambridge Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideons International or Answers in Genesis. Carol’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
