Helen Irene Wroblewski Merritt Brown joined her Heavenly Father on May 24, 2025.

She was born in Loup City, Nebraska on June 1, 1930, to Harry and Clara Wroblewski. She was the oldest of 5 children helping raise her 4 brothers.

In 1950 she met and married Wayne Merritt. They started their family in 1951 with the birth of their daughter Rosalee, followed by Virgil in 1954, Norman in 1955. In 1956 they moved to Idaho and had 2 more children, Vernon in 1957 and Waunita in 1960.

She raised 5 children on ranches around White Bird and Council. She spent many years working at Shaver’s. She was widowed in 1996.

In 1998 she met and married Lloyd Brown, blending their families. Helen and Lloyd enjoyed their daily walks, holding hands like a couple of teenagers. She enjoyed camping with their camping group, dancing, polka music, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ted and George Wroblewski, her first husband Wayne Merritt, daughter Waunita Merritt and step-grandsons Jeremy Marchal and Ryan Brown.

She is survived by her husband Lloyd, children Rosalee, Virgil(Kathy), Norman(Mel) and Vernon(Jeanne), 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, stepchildren Steve(Sue), Kathy, Bryan, 6 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-great-grandchildren and brothers Leo and Dominic.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on June 6, 2025 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Council, Idaho. Lunch to follow in the Church basement.
