Ian Arthur Harrison

Ian Arthur Harrison was born on October 2, 1992, in Nampa, Idaho, to Tim and Missy Harrison. He joined his older brother, Levi J. Harrison, who was anxiously awaiting his arrival, and shortly after was joined by his twin brother, Zachary Ronald Harrison.

At the age of four, Ian moved with his family to the countryside near Cambridge, Idaho. There, he and Zach had acres of space to run and play. They rode horses, fed cows, built bike ramps in the middle of the county road, and often snuck over to Aunt Suzy and Uncle Randy’s house.

From an early age, Ian developed a deep love for vehicles and mountain adventures. When his dad bought him his first dirt bike, Ian had been hoping for a four-wheeler—but he quickly mastered it and became a wild force on two wheels. He and Zach would ride for hours through the hills to meet up with Jessica in Indian Valley. As his circle of friends grew, so did the stories—and the trails they tore up together.

Ian’s greatest blessings were his children. He proudly welcomed his first daughter, Kennedi Rae Harrison, on October 3, 2015. His second daughter, Octavia Lorraine Harrison, was born on July 17, 2019. These were the proudest moments of his life.

Throughout his life, Ian worked various jobs and built lifelong friendships. At Razor Back Offroad, he found close friends in Jim and Pudgy Todd. Later, at Track Utilities, he thrived while running the boring machine and gained even more friends he valued deeply.

In May 2021, Ian’s family grew again when Missy married Jed Lakey, giving Ian another strong bond in his life.

In May 2022, Ian was diagnosed with ALS. He faced this cruel disease with courage and resilience, determined to spend as much time as possible with his daughters.

In September 2024, Ian moved in with Zach and Chalee, whose home became his place of comfort and care during his final year. With the loving help of caregivers Cassie and Jessica, Zach and Chalee, and Denise, his Hospice nurse, Ian received the daily support he needed. Their kindness and love allowed him to remain surrounded by family and continue to be present for his children. Cassie and Jessica were true angels to him and the entire family.

During his journey with ALS, Ian made a profound and meaningful decision—he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart. On August 8, 2025, surrounded by family and friends, he was baptized. This brought him a deep sense of peace and humility.

Even as ALS progressed, Ian’s eyes always carried a hint of mischief—his trademark spark. In his final days, he made sure to say over and over again: “Tell them I love them... and always will.”

In August 2025, Ian experienced a powerful reunion with his son, Tate Hoyle. Kennedi and Octavia had the opportunity to meet their older brother, bringing Ian immeasurable joy.

On September 26, 2025, at the age of 32, Ian passed peacefully at home in Weiser, Idaho, surrounded by love. Family and friends were by his side in the days leading up to his passing.

Ian was preceded in death by his father, Tim Harrison; grandparents Bob and Twila Harrison, Don Lakey, and “Grammy” Marva Vogel.

He is survived by his children: Kennedi Rae Harrison, Octavia Lorraine Harrison, and Tate Hoyle; his parents Missy and Jed Lakey; his brothers Levi J. (Julia) Harrison, Zach (Chalee) Harrison; sisters Beth (Royce) Bauer, Hannah (Sam) McConnell, and Mary (Jason) Green; and grandparents Mike and Nikki Vogel, “Pop” Tom Vogel, and Joan Lakey, numerous aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of Ian’s life will be held on October 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cambridge Exhibit Hall, Cambridge, Idaho.
