
On October 22, 2025, Vera Lee Huttman Kirby of Meridian, Idaho went home to be with her Lord and Savior, she was 88 years old.
Vera Lee was born on the 21st of September, 1937 in Oakland California to George and Alvera Sconyers. She grew up with two older sisters in the mountains around Paradise, California. When she was nine her parents divorced and she went to live in Stoneyford, CA with her dad and step-mom, Sara.
Vera Lee was married in 1955 to David Jesse Huttman and the couple had three daughters: Jennifer, Jessica and Cora. In 1971 the family moved to Council, Idaho. Vera Lee began working as the Council School lunch supervisor, a position she held for many years. Kids remember her cinnamon rolls and her delicious pies.
After the death of her husband, she moved to Meridian, ID where she met and married Dallas Kirby, who had 3 grown girls of his own, Ellen, Carol and Patricia. She and Dallas enjoyed square dancing, traveling the USA in their motor home and volunteering at church, the Nampa Senior Center and the Idaho Center. Vera Lee also volunteered at the St. Luke’s Meridian Medical Center for 15 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and both of her husbands. In addition, she also lost her eldest step-daughter, Ellen. She is survived by her three daughters, two step-daughters and their spouses and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
